Oldhall Cottages are just a few minutes drive from Loch Lomond, making these self-catering accommodation cottages perfect for those wishing to explore the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
Loch Lomond is one of Scotlands longest lochs and has many areas of interest on its shores. At the Southern end (closest to Oldhall) the villages of Drymen and Balmaha are well worth a visit, as is Rowerdennan which is the starting point for the hardier tourist who wants to tackle all 3,192 feet of Ben Lomond for the most superb views of the areas, for an easier and more relaxing way to take in the outstanding scenery, visitors can drive to Balloch and take a short boat trip up the loch.
The Trossachs are also a very short drive away. The village of Aberfoyle is known as the gateway to the Trossachs and has plenty to offer. It is a great place for walking, cycling and pony trekking. The forestry commission have produced a great map showing the many marked walks and cycle paths in the area.
Go Ape is near Aberfoyle, boasting the longest zip wire in the uk and fantastic fun for all the family who arent afraid of heights! (height restrictions do apply and children must be accompanied by an adult)
